Having a mentor or trainer in any business is so important.  I realized this when I started my handyman business. My mentor was a friend who got me into the business. Whenever I'd come across a situation or had a question he was just a phone call away, ready to help. Now, he didn't do the work for me, that's called outsourcing, he guided me  and saved me money! That's how a mentor can help, they can save you money and time because they have been there before. They know what works and what doesn't.
